And So This is Christmas…And What Have You Done?

Welcoming the holidays

Welcoming the holidays

Another year over (nearly) – a new one just about to begin. *Sigh* John Lennon still brings tears to my eyes. In a good way.

Besides stealing Lennon’s lyrics for a title, the words are apropos. This time of year always makes me reflective, nostalgic and thankful. My Christmas holiday memories are nearly all happy ones, from childhood to now. Preparations, decorations, gathering, baking, giving, singing, sharing. Lots of feel-good action verbs wrapped round in pretty sounds and glittering nouns.

If my post about giving gifts from the heart wasn’t enough of a clue – I’ll repeat myself a bit: it’s really great to show how much you care and appreciate friends, family and connections. Really best to do it all year round, but there’s something extra heart-warming about our traditional year-end holiday wrap-up.

So this is my Christmas Wish List:

  • Wishing all of my clients (you know who you are) – a thousand new opportunities for you in the coming year, in thanks for the opportunity you’ve given MarketUP to share in your success.
  • May all of my friends and neighbors enjoy perfect health, no stress, harmony and, well, a decent income.
  • For the educators who work with my children daily – especially those who have the patience to give extra to my son with autism – may you know how important your job is and how much you are appreciated.
  • To my husband, children, mom and extended family – I wish you love, and lots of laughter. Oh, and yummy cookies we’re baking on Saturday…and Mom’s “Oh, Holy Night”.

Now I think I can relax for the next week. Well, sort of. There’s still work to do – a website to edit, some collateral to design, a newsletter or two to get delivered. But I think all in all, in spite of the ‘economic challenges’, it’s been a pretty good finish to the first decade of the millennium.

Wishing any readers: happy everything.
